Om Sleiman Farm
We started the day with a well needed reflection about our previous day in Hebron. We later proceeded to stretch before a long day of community service at Om Sleiman Farm in Bil’in. Once there, the campers were divided to do several tasks. Some were constructing a road, others were moving old tires that were in the farm, some were harvesting, while others cooked organic makloobeh for the rest of us!
It was very empowering working in the land. Not only did we feel a connection to the land, but we were working with our hands and felt a sense of accomplishment. After having worked the land, we all rewardingly said ‘ya’teek el ‘afyeh’ to each other as we munched on our delicious makloobeh!
