Exploration

We look forward to welcoming our campers here in their homeland and to helping them explore as much of Palestine as possible. Go Palestine is planning trips not only throughout Ramallah but to other cities as well such as Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Nablus, and Haifa. Campers will swim in the Mediterranean Sea, and absorb the breathtaking view of Palestine's hills as they hike across the West Bank. Visits to olive groves and villages such as Birzeit and Taybeh, in addition to volunteer work in the refugee camps, will give a full picture of life in Palestine.

Throughout camp, cultural and artistic programs and a film and lecture series will be introduced, and a language program will be integrated to expose campers to basic spoken Arabic as needed. We are also planning a forum to understand Palestine (its past and present), and to articulate each participant's hopes for the future. The campers will be given regular opportunities for reflection, and opportunities to help synthesize learning and their feelings.
