☀️Day 1️⃣2️⃣: Dead Sea
Today was an early start as we set out to witness the beautiful sunrise over the Dead Sea. We gathered on campus at 2:30 AM and packed breakfast and snacks for the journey ahead. We boarded the bus and drove to the Jordan Valley, arriving at Nabi Musa. From there, we hiked towards the Dead Sea Overlook area, a lookout at the edge of the final mountain before the Jordan Valley. We arrived just in time to witness the beautiful sunrise over the Dead Sea. After the sunrise, we descended the mountain to the road at the shore, where we got back on the bus and drove to the Dead Sea. The beach was supposed to open at 8 AM but due to delays, it didn't open until 9, so we had to wait on the bus for a while. Once the beach opened, we got off the bus and got to enjoy the saltiest body of water in the world and the lowest point on earth. Campers rubbed mud on themselves and floated in the Sea, and some even got to enjoy the cool pool before we had to leave for Ramallah. Today we were able to witness the natural beauty of Palestine and the unique geography and terrains our country is blessed with.🌊🌅🏖️
